JSON is text but not all text files are equal for git versioning.
A lot of tools like Postman save(d) their data in a big JSON file, often minimified, making it absolutely impossible to natively use git diffing and merging. Which makes collaboration impossible.
Collaboration is then sold as an add-on, and for Postman only through Cloud sync.
Postman added a new file format this year. It now does what Bruno was doing since the beginning : one file per request for easy diffing and merging.
Bruno definitely had an edge. And it lost it because LLMs left no choice to Postman but to adopt something similar.
Don’t all these API testing clients (also Postman) store requests in a bunch of JSON files, which makes them all git native?
Just questioning Bruno tag line but hey atleast no AI in it.

a con is that you need to reimport file upon git switch
