I spent many many many hours researching these numbers again and again the last winter seasons. Generally I think it's really useful and I saved it for the the next months.
However I would heavily suggest working on the design so it doesn't shout being AI generated so instantly. If you haven't said you spent hours debugging it I would have instantly closed it because I wouldn't have guessed it works actually this well.
wow it's interesting to see other folks did researches like this when they plan for a trip. Any other data you researched that is missing here? Thanks for the feedback, the design is the part I want to improve the most. I'm not a fan of these Claude design.
Oh I added that recently! We use Price Level Index from World Bank's International Comparison Program 2021. (US dollars needed to buy the same GDP basket, normalised so World = 100). It's CC BY-4.0 open data. I found it to be a bit inaccurate though. Maybe I'll add big mac index. Numbeo was ruled out on licence and per-call cost.
haha yeah especially this summer! thanks for the feedback. yeah, the region/country aggregation can be a bit off. i'm still tuning the best parameter for each preset.
haha european summers are the best though. long sun hours festivals everywhere. from my travels, i learned the cold countries (well i guess not spain) have the best summer.

My wife is using this to plan her next escape. She loves it! only complaint, she would like to also see a rank by cost (cheap/expensive)
