My 2c: GoPro's fall started years ago when they decided to be a media company (like Youtube) and spent a lot of time + effort both recruiting media focused talent, instead of on devices as such.
Why does it work for Red Bull?
Because they don't need to release a better gimballed 8k 360 120fps action camera every year.
