You need to put a disclaimer for photosensitive people, probably as a gate to the animation starting using a popup or something!
This can probably trigger seizures

I think I will write an article on the topic, but for now if you search for "quasicrystals" on HN you should get a lot of context :)
Have you considered adding binaural beats to induce altered brain frequencies? Something like https://github.com/synapseq-foundation/synapseq
This was thought as a purely visual experience, but of course adding another modality is tempting. I want do develop the project as new ideas appear, so who knows :)
