War is not profitable for almost everyone—except the people selling oil, weapons, and volatility.

This was going to be my answer - I would bet that Trump, oil companies and (soon) defence contractors would have been the profiteers. But the OP said it better.

Haven't we been hammered day and night with the explanation that Iran got everything it wanted, got to tax every vessel going through the channel, got all the billions it wanted to to rebuild the country and have and, overall, also won the war, beating the biggest army on earth by slapping C4 on DJI drones?

They also killed 30 000 of their own (unarmed citizens) in early 2026, meaning those who'd want the islamists reigning gone are probably going to keep quiet for a while too now.

So I'd say... Islamists in Iran profited the most?

      ^^^ The only correct answer.

What did they get out of it? Iran's old conventional military capabilities being blown up? Some leaders killed? A fraction of the missiles and drones being suppressed?

      Thankfully, suprisingly not. US maybe
