I was confused by the instruction to run Asciinema alongside it. The use case is explained on the linked page:

if all you need is audio, https://streammyaudio.com/ is also worth a look - a single binary containing the client and server
Both of these do look interesting.
Of course, streammyaudio is by shollz, the same dude behind the croc file transfer tool. This guy is a legend.
