This space is so crowded but I can see how OpenAI is positioned well to compete. My partner has never coded in her life but using one of those site builders she was able to build a very impressive dashboard for her sales team with accurate data flowing from company's Metabase.

It's exciting that many can build useful things today. I'm a little existentially upset that I'm not so special anymore though.

The SaaSpocalypse is upon us. When the model maker also vertically integrates into the use cases as well, I'm not sure what's left, besides maybe banding together to make collectively owned open weight models in order to compete.

It's an extreme example of not building on someone else's platform only now the platform is all codebases ever existing...

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at some dashboard SaaS companies today. Especially with AWS for OpenAI models on top, the moat that I've been told by quite a few friends in the sector that was deployment is likely busted, as was to expect by anyone whose salary doesn't depend on living in ignorance...

This is one of the biggest updates Codex has made for white collar work. It'll be interesting to see how long people take to start using it.
