I just really dislike this follow whatever FAANG is doing pattern that the C-Suite have adopted with such urgency. Maybe this is just my age showing but I remember folks used to say "well we aren't facebook/google/amazon and what works for them might not work for our industry, we have to think this through".

Hopefully they promoted the cheaters - those are the folks showing drive, initiative, and the will to win.
