    A great rambling book that's related here and connected to neuroscience too is "The Age of Insight: The Quest to Understand the Unconscious in Art, Mind, and Brain, from Vienna 1900 to the Present".     Klimt was super talented but I can't stand most of his work as it reminds me of migraine aura.
