FYI: This has been an integral part of WebAssembly since 2.0. WebAssembly 3.0 also added "relaxed" SIMD instructions which result is allowed to vary under specified constraints at implementation's choice.

I wish we have agreed on some fp16/fp8 format by now to add to it..
