I wouldn't necessarily expect kicking out all of the existing maintainers of the tools to break everything in four months, but I also wouldn't necessarily trust that the tools are going to continue working well indefinitely with an entirely new set of maintainers and no handoff (because of the previous maintainers being kicked out).
Yeah this is a bit silly from RubyCentral's part and just makes nobody want to touch Ruby with a 10ft pole. The bundler guy should sue for the trademark. God knows what went through Matz head when he kicked so many contributors to the curb.

Can you elaborate on this? My understanding is that he's more peripheral to this specific incident than someone who actively has been involved. I don't recall seeing that he was part of Ruby Central.
