Now is great time to bet that this will be the greatest wiff in history. Elon’s pay package has some hilariously ambitious goals.
I’m pretty sure the only way to win will be to get out of the car market, bet big (and win) on some ai and/or robotics thing. Nobody knows if now is the time for robotics to really take off. It might be given advances in software and manufacturing. We might invest a trillion dollars in it and learn we don’t have the timing quite right.
But he’s hindered now because he’s already burned everyone in tech (people know it’s not worth the chaos of working for him)and he’s already shat on a huge investment by cratering twitter’s value.
And he has alienated everyone who is not a Nazi with his public Nazi salutes. (Which as of press time he has not repudiated)
So yeah, it’s a big bet. I’m betting that normal people have enough decency to turn away and ignore whatever attempt he makes to salvage this.
