    The tone is a little anti-social, but it's an interesting point. The main thesis (quote):

    "It's not impressive to do math. It is excruciating, long, tedious. And most people think doing math is simply balancing equations, just numbers, arithmetic. That's arithmetic. Numerology.

    "Mathematics is the application of language. It's a set of instructions to describe very complicated phenomena. The people who study this, they do it because it's the only way humans can survive. If you choose math because you want people to think you're smart, you're never going to succeed. You're in the wrong field."
