The people can solve this. Cut the states burn rate at least 10% every year and also remove 10% of laws every year. Let the citizens choose which programs and laws to cut using a government web portal. In 10 years cap the taxes to a max rate of 3% and require $500 million in programs to be removed for every $200 million in new programs added. Require every new program to list on a government web portal exactly who is allocated how much money and show exactly how every dollar is spent with receipts. Use AI to figure out where money is being mismanaged and instantly pause the program and funding until the issues are resolved.

“The proposal would impose a one-time 5% tax on the assets of Californians worth over $1 billion.”

So if enough people vote for it, ex post facto theft is ok because “crisis”?

If they can do it once, they can do it repeatedly, no crisis required

I would rather fix the fraud that is being perpetrated with our tax dollars now prior to giving the government any more. https://x.com/i/trending/2005454604394222016
