    The article predates latest batch of news and things appear to be a lot better than it assumes. With latest nowcasts of Atlanta Fed, it seems like overall GDP growth will be at around 2.5% this year, and given mass deportations that resulted in population growth slowing down to almost a halt, per capita growth may be the best in decades, not counting the 2021 post-covid bounce.
