Only semi-related but this got me interested in browser-based splat renderers, I poked around online and this is the best demo I found - very cool!

For me this one is (was, apparently it's not working anymore) one of the best ones. Gaussian Splatting SLAM, the best apper of CVPR 2024 https://rmurai.co.uk/projects/GaussianSplattingSLAM/ Also this one is very cool imo (triangle splatting), even if it's not interactive https://trianglesplatting.github.io/
I would really like to work on splat rendering during the PhD i'm hoping to pursue
I believe they are using the open source PlayCanvas splat integration.
“Gaussian splatting” wins the gold medal for coolest technology name.
Where are my Jacobian Texels?
