    > The livestream sharing commentary on investing appeared for at least eight minutes late Thursday on whitehouse.gov/live, where the White House usually streams live video of the president speaking.

So /live is some kind of a redirect to whatever other stream source. My guess is that whoever was meant to post the latest stream had this guy's URL in his clipboard history. Oops! Hard to see it being hacking - there are way more "interesting" things to do if you have the keys to whitehouse.gov - and it's not really a big deal, except for the poor schmuck who was watching personal finance videos at work, and maybe to the guy who just found out he has a fan in the Whitehouse. Hope neither of them gets too much federal law enforcement attention.

Around 1am Friday morning, a Make.com automation uploading YouTube videos to a website, began uploading dozens of YouTube’s latest videos. Despite querying a specific channel ID, YouTube API was returning any newly uploaded video. As you can imagine, the videos were pretty gross. I doubt this is related, but if so, we’re lucky it was a finance livestream.

Sometime around 2007, my late father was investigated by the US Secret Service for multiple reasons, including a "manifesto" that he somehow uploaded to the public directory on a White House web server.

A decade later, I was responsible for securing systems in the same type of environment. Various incidents demonstrated that these types of compromises are easier than you might imagine.

Infosec of US government networks changes less over the years than senior leadership would have you believe.

Based on what’s been reported it was almost certainly just a mistake but I also could 100% see this administration selling ads on their live feed.

I thought the current administration was sponsored by Raid Shadow Legends.
