    right... that's why NextJS is designed to align with Vercel's infra and makes using it elsewhere a pain (see what used to be called "middleware" but had to be renamed because so many people called out this issue, and instead of designing NextJS to be amenable to running anywhere, they just doubled down)

    Use TanStack instead of NextJS and Vercel

    total bs. having worked with their infra they certainly employ tactics to keep you on their services
