    Good article about current heat wave in Canada with links to relevant documentation of the recent history (last decade or more) of heat accumulation in the Pacific and the effects it has had on climate.

    I like the CBC Lite format for news presentation. More sites should default to this so you only load the images/video that you are interested in seeing. Very nice.

    For anyone in Canada or the northern US who is wondering why it still feels a bit like summer up there, follow some of the links for detailed reports that help tie past events to predictions for future issues.

    Must be warm. From my east coast perspective Vancouver and the rest of the coast seemed very warm and mild in the early 90's. It snowed once in Vancouver, but it didn't hit the ground, I layed on the sidewalk and watched as the snow flakes melted and vannished in the air just before they hit the ground, saw something similar in Murree up in the hills north of Islamibad. Heatwave on the east coast as well. Here is a daily updated SST (sea surface temp)chart
