        It’s not relevant, the school district is paying for this service.

        The joke in the XKCD is ‘you get what you pay for’ since his friend isn’t charging him. That is not the case here, posting the XKCD is a non-sequiter.

          I'm paying for the school district and I don't see any reason for alarm. No tech is perfect, stuff happens, it's still better with the tech, at least in this case.

          The school district is paying for the service, but the students are not paying for the laptops.

          Thought they like have little say in whether or not (or how to use these laptops.
