I mean, even like 5 years ago politicians in Europe were saying that manufacturing sector was not needed and actually moving into higher value added, tertiary sector service economy jobs was a super good idea.
At this point IMO it's too late, at least in Europe. The amount of structural and labor market reforms needed to restart manufacturing EU wide is too much.
Once the fever dies down and basic objective facts are once again paid attention to Trump will be remembered as the man who gave the world to China.
