    There's a precedent:

    A typically British bad idea.

    Another one might be transmigrasi: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transmigration_program

    A bad Dutch idea, carried out forcefully by the Indonesian government for decades.

    A point to keep in mind: the Palestinians don't want to be relocated. So, it's both contentious, and probably a (war) crime. Forced relocation has a long, torrid, bad history.

    Boston Consulting Group modelled the costs of “relocating” Palestinians from Gaza and entered into a multimillion-dollar contract to help launch an aid scheme for the shattered enclave, a Financial Times investigation has found.

    I can't see what's wrong about it. Israel needs to solve Palestinian problem in one way or the other.

      Crimes Against Humanity under Article 7(1)(d) of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court:

        Article 7
        Crimes against humanity
        1. For the purpose of this Statute, "crime against humanity" means any of the following acts when committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack:
        (a) Murder;
        (b) Extermination;
        (c) Enslavement;
        (d) Deportation or forcible transfer of population;

      - https://www.icc-cpi.int/sites/default/files/2024-05/Rome-Sta...

      Neither the USA nor Israel have ratified this treaty, but it's still what you might consider "not a good look": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/States_parties_to_the_Rome_Sta...

        Well, Israel could never come into being if it cared about any of that. If Jews obeyed laws - that were, in those times, specifically instituted against them in all-Christian Western world, and similarly antisemitic Islamic one - they'd just be wholly exterminated long before Israel was founded. Also, well, they could instead just be kept in, separated by gender, until they age out of terrorism, as a worse (too expensive), but still acceptable solution.
