The closest I’ve found is a curated feed of X (Twitter) accounts: MDs, researchers, journal subaccounts in your field of interest (from Elsevier, Wiley, Springer...), plus sites like Medical News Today or MedPage Today. Sometimes good discussion happens in replies, the experts might chime in, some do have old-school blogs.

I’m Curious about your general case for wanting a “hackernews for x”, please could you tell me what are the things you like about hackernews that make you want them for other topics?

Collection of articles, research, etc. that people found interesting; as opposed to journals with millions of information to sift through where most will be less actionable or interesting.

What do you mean by actionable?

It depends on what you like about HN.

It seems that a lot of medical stuff is posted here. Anything is, actually. Which is kind of hilarious.
