Marginally amplified risk taking might be a good strategy during rapid climate change/collapse, or maybe not. If not, I suspect evolution will sort out the balance. But a change in the other direction, post adaptation, might be even more disruptive. So are we making a species dependent on ongoing medication?

Ever try and grab...and hold onto, a salmon that is trying to swim upstream? I have, and there was nothing I could do to hold it, with both arms in a bear hug, thrash, thrash, THRASH, gone.... big bad critters that are already ignoring all kinds of risks. Salmon are moving north and colonising new rivers, which likely means needing different behaviors to deal with unfamiliar food, or eat now!, worry about digestion later. They got teath so I am guessing that gettin bit by salmon is likely going to become a thing we hear about, only fair seeing how often we are bittin on them

lol. As someone who grew up in Alaska dip-netting for kings back when you could fill your freezer every year as a days recreation, I approve of this message.
