Is there a need to make things up here? They won because they can deliver reliably and cheaply and do it every other day if not more frequently. Everyone else in the entire world are also-ran at best.

The article doesn't have any evidence of any nefarious activities, and if you've been keeping up at all with Boeing getting people stuck in space and SpaceX bailing them out, it's pretty obvious who's building the superior product. But the article wants to plant the idea in your mind anyway, because orange man bad.

What in the article do you think was made up?

The article implies that the contract was awarded due to Musks proximity to the government.

The article asks that and then concludes that it probably wasn't and that there were good reasons why SpaceX was the best choice for the missions it was awarded.

what would realy realy stir the pot, would be a complete public reveal of ALL of the government contracts......you know....the trillions of dollars going out theft, corruption and waste (TCW), are quite litteraly out of control....or if you prefer institutionalised...and fixing it is going to be brutal....it's a problem world wide.... and reducing the whole thing to a character assisination of one, and only one Elon, is absolute proof of how easy it is to keep the whole scambolic monstrosity going

I think the character of Elon already lacked a pulse.
