    In 2015, it was found that threat-processing parts of the brain could be disabled by magnets which induced both weakened faith in God and made participants more accepting towards migrants.

      Although the application is interesting, that's transcranial magnetic stimulation which has been around for a while. This is a new technique with different abilities. On the minus side it requires gene therapy to select the target, which is more complicated. On the plus side it can select target neurons by more than just location, and it's a lot easier to switch them on and off

      Also, spy novelists and scriptwriters gonna have a ball with this one
