    Summary of the filing:

The document is a complaint filed by Jenniffer L. Westmoreland against Matthew C. Mullenweg, Audrey HC, LLC, and unnamed defendants (Does 1-10) in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco. Westmoreland alleges several labor violations and workplace abuses that occurred during her employment as a personal assistant to Matthew Mullenweg's mother.

    ### Key Allegations and Claims

    1. *Unpaid Wages and Overtime*: - Westmoreland claims she was promised a salary of $60,000 per year but was required to work excessively long hours, including 24-hour on-call shifts without overtime compensation. - She alleges she worked far more than the standard 40-hour workweek and was not paid overtime, violating California labor laws.

    2. *Labor Code Violations*: - The complaint cites violations for failing to provide accurate wage statements, rest breaks, meal periods, and proper final wages upon termination. - The plaintiff seeks penalties under various California labor laws, including those related to misrepresenting the nature of the work and conditions.

    3. *Hostile Work Environment and Discrimination*: - Westmoreland alleges a hostile and abusive work environment, including racial and sexual harassment from Kathleen Mullenweg, Matthew Mullenweg’s mother. This behavior included derogatory remarks and instructions that Westmoreland found offensive and discriminatory. - Despite complaints, she claims no action was taken, and the harassment continued, creating a pervasive and hostile work atmosphere.

    4. *Wrongful Termination*: - The complaint argues that the working conditions became so intolerable that Westmoreland was constructively discharged (forced to leave), which she claims violates California's public policy against discrimination and abuse.

    5. *Failure to Prevent Harassment*: - The defendants are accused of failing to prevent the discrimination and harassment Westmoreland experienced. She claims that her complaints were ignored and that supervisors who supported her were terminated.

    6. *Fraud and Misrepresentation*: - Westmoreland alleges that Mullenweg misrepresented the nature and duration of her employment when recruiting her from Texas to California. She claims that these misrepresentations induced her to accept the job under false pretenses.

    ### Relief Sought Westmoreland seeks: - Compensation for unpaid wages, overtime, and missed breaks. - Statutory penalties for labor code violations. - Damages for emotional distress, punitive damages, and attorneys' fees. - Double damages under California law for the misrepresentation about her job. - An accounting of all unpaid wages and further punitive measures as appropriate.

The document emphasizes that Westmoreland endured significant emotional and financial harm due to the actions and inaction of the defendants, and she demands a jury trial to resolve these issues.

    Wild.

Mullenweg apparently also had the manager of his household llc fill out fake paperwork for his employees, which came out in an attempt to compel arbitration. tl;dr: it seems to have been a practice of his household llc, which he manages, to have a manager fill out the onboarding paperwork, including agreeing to contracts on behalf of the employees. Said contracts included the arbitration agreement.

TL;DR: This lawsuit alleges Matt Mullenweg ran an extremely hostile work environment (including, but not limited to, his own mother bragging about threesomes with Asians); in addition to extremely poor ($60K in LA with constant off the clock labor) working conditions.

It should be noted this is not a new lawsuit; but the community has returned to it after Matt’s erratic behavior. A Jury Trial is set for June 16, 2025.
