It’s become trendy to slam on the U.K., often by its citizens, but I think the doom and gloom is overdone. Nowhere more is that the case than in techie circles where people earning higher salaries than they would in most other European countries moan about how it’s a shithole.
Fundamentally it’s still a good place to live. We have a good education system. Sure, you might have to choose between a longer commute or leaving London and accepting a bit of a lower salary in a different city but that’s true the world over.
