Just a note though, in the context of this conversation, it was written before much of the big discoveries of the ships, and other historical research came out, so it is largely speculative after last contact (obviously the supernatural elements are pure fiction)

Yes, although the final episode was so harrowing that certain images are burned into my brain. To the point where I wish I hadn’t seen it!

Follow up question, why is it that in season 2 everyone is Japanese?
It's a completely unrelated story. The idea is it is like "American Horror Story" or "True Detective" where each season is a self-contained story.
